Theresa May – career analysis – New Prime Minister of the United Kingdom

Mrs. Theresa May is soon to become the UK’s new Prime Minister.

She will be the second female PM in UK history, following her predecessor as both Tory Party leader and PM, the late Margaret Thatcher.

This is a series in the career aspects of noted people, as I like to examine how they match up on their charts:

UK birth certs don’t typically reference birth time. There are some charts online showing a Sagittarius rising, but these should be approached with caution.

Sun in Libra and Moon in Virgo are interesting, showing balanced persona and diligent emotions. Strong features for any politician to have.

Moreover, she has a broad mix of modalities and elements, though favouring the Fixed and Mutable modalities. This further shows a balance, possibly Mrs. May is a very level-headed person by nature, though hardworking, determined, and able to adapt readily to new situations.

Transits

Transits are good for analysing current events, thoughts, feelings and reactions. These stand out for me, as the outer planets better represent longer-term trends:

Jupiter

Mrs. May has her Jupiter return now, so apparently it is an opportune time in her life. It could be that, in this time in her career and life, Jupiter in Virgo has made her see that being a potential PM is possible. She is currently, in any event, one of the longest serving MPs in the Cabinet, and this is a natural feeling to have at this point in her career/life. Jupiter transits are good for growth in various areas/facets.

Jupiter in Libra from September will be interesting, as it will hit her natal Sun very soon in the transit, and be retrograde near this point for some months before going into Scorpio.

If she is to call an early general election, it’s advised she does this in Jupiter in Libra, and when it’s conjunct her Sun.

Saturn

Saturn in Sag is trine her Uranus, so possibly a good time for managing change (Brexit?) and hard work. Certainly Brexit and the negotiations with the EU will be a paramount task for her in her early premiership. Saturn is also conjunct her North/True Node, so as a TN in Sag she’s geared towards the exploration of higher truth and nobility.

Uranus

Uranus is trine her Venus, and time changing perspectives in her presentation, relatability, and connections. Possibly as she will be PM, this means more time to reach out to and engage the masses. It’s also trine Pluto natally, and good for melding change and power.

Neptune

Neptune is opposite her Jupiter though loosely trining her natal Neptune. Possibly she is overawed at being PM, and who wouldn’t be? However, it is conjunct her natal Mars, so she is gaining more insight into how to compete in humanitarian terms. Perhaps Mars in Pisces is one means in which she is a One Nation Tory?

Pluto

Pluto is trining her Jupiter, so a naturally strong transit. Change, power and transformation are aligning well with her natural goals and expansion. As Pluto will be in Capricorn for some years to come, it may mean continued emphasis on her goals and higher pursuits.

Overall, despite not having a proven ascendant, Mrs. May has a mix of elements, modalities, and appears very balanced, level-headed, determined and variable. She has good transits currently, showing an opportune time in her life to rise up and progress in her career and life.
