The Right Honourable David Cameron, current Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, announced his resignation today.
He has been PM since 2010, and would be in office for six years in total.
In this post, I will examine Mr. Cameron’s personality, why he is a leading politician, and which transits led to his ascension to PM and his fresh resignation.

Mr. Cameron’s “big three” are Libra Rising/Sun (Double Libra), and a Leo Moon.
Balance, harmony, and accord, are key to his character. He also is passionate, and his rising planet is Venus. It is conjunct his Sun, and this means he values unity, compassion, and benevolent action.
Western hemisphere planets denote introversion, but mixed above and below the horizon.
Venus is conjunct the AC, showing attention to beauty and harmony as key in his character. The Sun is also in 1st house, denoting ambition and drive.
There is a mix of elements and modalities, showing ambiversion and a multi-faceted character.
Overall, Mr. Cameron is a man who values fairness and equity, and utilises passion to pursue his goals, values and objectives.

Midheaven in Cancer is about charity, nurturing and compassion.
Moon/Jupiter in Leo is about expansion in work goals, as both are in his 10th house. He is very ambitious, and uses this Fire energy to boost his career.
His Sun conjunct Venus in Libra shows a measured life force/ego, and beauty through harmony and relatability.
A career in politics is evident here, given the Cancer, Leo, and Libra placements.
Moreover, his drive was always towards high positions, due to his Sun (even though Sun in Libra is in Fall) and Venus domicile.
Saturn in Pisces is about hard work in helping others or bettering the whole, and again this can lend to seeking political office.
Mars in Leo in the 11th shows strong associations, utilising Fire energy to lead, communicate and inspire vividly.
His True Node is in Taurus, and in the 8th house, so bounty and surety in the mind and psychology is his life path. Possibly this can relate to wanting to not just develop himself, but society in positive ways.
Pluto is in the 12th house, and Neptune and Mercury are in 2nd house/Scorpio. He may be fastidious, and prone to sound control of his inner mind and emotions (despite his Leo Moon). Financial growth for him is via communication in bold and strong topics. Note that prior to being a Member of Parliament, he was a top manager at Carlton Communications, so communication and relatability are key for him vocationally.
There are many aspects showing why he became PM, or at least enabled to be become such.
In 2015, when he won the general election, Jupiter was in Leo. In 2010, Jupiter, Uranus, and the Moon passed trine his MC, possibly triggering his means to be PM in the 2010 general election. At this time, his Venus was trine Venus, and his Sun was trine Pluto/Uranus. It was thus a time of change for him, in gaining alliances, and securing new horizons and goals.

Of the outer planets, Jupiter is nearing his Uranus and Pluto. This aspect is highly telling, as least in terms of change, upheaval and shifts in power.
Neptune is trine Mercury, and trine his MC, so possibly a re-imagination of his career path is in order.
Saturn in 3rd shows strain and hard work in his relations to neighbours, possibly those of his party (the Conservative Party). However, it is trine his Jupiter and Moon in Leo, thus good for measuring his emotions and goals at this time.
Uranus in Aries is past his Moon/Jupiter, but nearing Mars, so he’s soon to adapt to various new challenges and overcome them well.
Overall, one can see why Mr. Cameron is a politician, and why such work has appealed to him. It’s also evident to see how he has resigned, and why he chose to do so at this time.
As Jupiter enters Libra, and with its conjunct to his Sun and Venus, he may feel invigorated, possibly forging a new path for himself in or out of politics.
